Course Information

If you are preparing for a career in business or are already working and would like to move into an international setting, then this is the course for you.

This Business English & Professional Skills course is available as a standard 24 lesson/20 hours per week course, leaving you with three afternoons free, or as an Intensive course combined with one of our afternoon optional courses. You can select these optional classes in the booking menu.

On this Business English and Professional Skills course you will study a wide range of Business and Professional English language, both spoken and written, from a variety of business topics. You will study alongside others who are focused on similar career goals and Business English language learning. 

Apart from our Business English and Professional Skills course, we also offer Legal EnglishMedical EnglishOET Preparation and English for Specific Purposes

Students can start their course on any Monday throughout the year. However, please note that some public holidays in the UK fall on a Monday in which case students will start their course on the Tuesday. Below is a full list of all public holidays in 2021.

Wimbledon School of English will close for the Christmas and New Year holidays on Friday 17th December 2021 and reopens on Tuesday 4th January 2021. 

Classes missed as a result of a public holiday will not be refunded or made up.

On this course, you will:

done Study a range of language associated with a variety of business topics.

done Practise target vocabulary through role plays and discussion of case studies.

done Focus on writing different business documents such as minutes of meetings, letters, reports, emails and social networking.

done Have the opportunity to work with other students who are focused on improving their proficiency in Business English.

done Study real cases taken from current news stories, business papers and journals.

done Receive up to 2 hours of homework every day.
