England goes into third lockdown
After last night's announcement from the UK government, the whole of England has now moved into lockdown until 15th February when the current restrictions will be reviewed. As a result, we are moving all face to face classes online, with the same number of lessons per week as in school. As always we will be providing a fun online social programme of varied activities including our popular language café and ‘cooking with Adam’ sessions.
A reminder of our terms and conditions in the event of a lockdown:
In the unlikely event of a Government shutdown, all courses will be moved online, and students will be very welcome to stay in their accommodation and remain in the UK or return home and continue studying from there. If they do not wish to transfer to online courses, they will be offered a credit note valid for two years from their last day studying with us. If they return home the balance of their accommodation will be refunded.
Students due to arrive between now and 14th February are welcome to postpone their course or transfer to one of our online courses which include IELTs & Cambridge exam preparation, Business English, OET, General English, our Juniors Young Leaders and Specialist Skills workshops, and Teacher Training.
Do call Sjors or June if you would like to discuss these options.
In the meantime, the good news is that the UK Government is carrying out a massive vaccination programme and we hope that the positive effects of this will be felt soon.
